The second amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees every American the right to bear arms. Has any law ever been so ambiguous? What are arms? What does it mean to bear them? At least with the first amendment we know exactly where we stand: Freedom of speech. It couldn’t be any clearer. But, the right to bear arms leaves the second amendment open to different interpretations. We need gun permits to carry a concealed weapon. Do we need knife permits? No. Yet both can, and often do, cause death. We can own a gun, or a rifle, or a sub-machine gun, or a machete, and dozens of other tools to kill, even our own bare hands. So, gun control is a debate in our country that makes no sense unless you broaden the ban or acceptance to include all instruments of death."'

Jane Candia Coleman had told me about the upcoming show on 4 May 2013 and I was looking over the station site to get more information and found this broadcast. Thank you for a great pre-show. I knew Glenn and some of the story about his detractors. But I am sure he loved to stir the pot and sit back and see what would happen, although it surely had to get tiresome after awhile.

Thanks guys. I also enjoyed the two hour show on Glenn.

I really enjoyed the tribute show on Glenn Boyer. I have been friends with Glenn and Jane for several years and like them both very much. I met Glenn when I was managing a smoke shop on their side of town and Glenn would come in to buy his cigars. Sometime later a friend who was with him mentioned he was an author. I asked Glenn what he wrote and he mentioned he wrote about Wyatt Earp. I asked him what some of the titles of his books were and told him I would get one and read it. A few days later Glenn came back in with a book called "Sex Ring In A Small Town". It really threw me off because as you can imagine, it didn't have anything to do with Wyatt Earp! But that was the sense of humor Glenn had. I am glad to have known him and I will miss him.

This is in reference to Tom's comment on Nov 10, 2012 about the election and stupid red states.

Tom,

You make the inference that only “uneducated” people vote Republican by quoting the statistic that the ten states with the most college degrees were blue and nine of ten with the least were red. Rational people should not be surprised at this correlation. College degrees are largely granted to people who spend a minimum of sixteen years under the tutelage of predominantly Democrat party members and within institutions that promote Democrat Party philosophy. (One may add the influence of many Communist professors during the students’ tenure on university campuses.) Consequently, the correlation you draw should be axiomatic. What is astonishing is that after nearly a century of the Left’s control on the educational system, fifty percent of the population still finds its way clear to dismiss the muddled, ill-conceived propaganda and understand the truth of human nature, the universe about us, and liberty! They then walk out to the polls and vote, not Republican, but conservative. Wisdom is what separates knowing a lot and knowing what is right and wrong in the lot that you know.

Among Muslim nations I suppose the "educated" predominantly vote for Sharia law. State educated citizens in China would likely vote for communism if elections were held . Germans of the 1930s educated in the Nazi environment probably overwhelmingly voted for Nazi rule. None of these correlations make the ruling philosophy good or valuable to society.

I dare say if the Catholics, Lutherans, or Baptists had the control that the Democrat party has had on our educational institutions, they could make their values stick to a far greater extent and duration with the population. That is no doubt because their values are closer to the truth and are far more salubrious for the individual and society. Surely this is why the Left and yourself are so hell bent on excluding any sort of serious private competition in education.

Your deployment of the statistic denigrates conservatives no less than flat out stating that all conservative voters are stupid. The attack is not made civil by cloaking it in the “credibility” of mainstream media statistics. Your remarks also exhibit your blindness to the bias that most rational people can plainly see in your writings and statements.

Emil can't confront you on all your offenses, so I'll take this one.

I assume you meant the PCC board of governors, the state of Arizona Has a legislature. Memberships on the PC BOG are non-paid positions, so to whom are you referring with the "dining on the tax-payers dime" remark? You appear to be about as well informed as the rest of your ilk who make baseless charges against Mr. Stewart, Dr. Miles, and the rest fo the BOG.

Thanks for listening

Nobody bluffs the Inside Track team?
Ha! Try Scott Stewart of the AZ state BOG. Or maybe you just don't really care about the fat and happy overpaid thieves who are dining on the tax-payers dime and driving this schoolbus down the road to self-destruction. That was the lamest interview I've ever heard on your show.

If you're looking for corruption, you should be starting your search with Scott Stewart and Suzanne Miles.
